Exhibiting the 'Safe Haven' collection at the British Craft Trade Fair

Design Nation is a leading portfolio for designer-makers, focusing on future thinking for craft, design and product. I am excited to be one of the artists featuring on the Design Nation Stand at the upcoming British Craft Trade Fair. The fair runs from 10-12 April in the Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate, showcasing British designer-makers.

The pieces that will be exhibited are from my ‘Safe Haven’ Collection – a new affordable range of smaller sculptures.

Each piece is unique featuring porcelain sculptures which have been slip cast from local pebbles and rocks from the County Down shores near my studio. The colour appropriate chairs form an integral part of each piece, representing people and feelings. Inside each sculpture there is a transparent glaze with splashes of sea coloured glass. Each unique piece is captioned referencing an emotional state.
