This one of a kind sea inspired sculpture is made using a found pebble and slip-casting method. Nestled inside a small, green, hand-built chair is surrounded by transparent glaze and splashes of sea blue glass. The interplay between the glaze and light generates beautiful reflections from two viewing points. Outside is unglazed with surface texture from the original pebble making it tactile to hold and explore. Looking through this piece suggests the title, Light at the End of the Tunnel’ an optimistic phrase, often associated with hope, transformation and a promising future.
