'Memories'
A beautiful, meaningful porcelain sculpture made using a pebble found at Church Ope Cove on the Isle of Portland. The chair represents a person, where we sit, communicate and remember with the circular forms suggesting memories. I have used different colours considering different emotions. The washy oxides signify how memories can become fragmented over time. Texture from the original pebble is on the surface which remains unglazed. My slip casting method results in a lightweight sculpture. This is a special one-off piece made with meaning. Suitable for a gift or as a visual prompt for yourself. On the bottom is my unique makers mark and a tiny hole to let the air escape during firing in the kiln.
